Description:
Made of materials approved by the Food and Drug Administration, our food grade silicone sheets are the ideal material to use for seals and gaskets that will come in contact with food items. Since it is a silicone rubber material, a food grade gasket made from this rubber sheet silicone will be able to work in a temperature range from -103° F to 500° F.
FDA Approved: The FDA has exacting standards about the types of materials that can come in contact with consumables. This is ultimately for our safety. The materials used to make this food grade rubber have been approved by the FDA. Using food grade silicone is a great way to ensure that foreign substances will not contaminate the food.
Great Temperature Range: Silicone rubber is the go-to elastomer for any tasks that involve extreme temperatures. This white rubber material can function in temperatures between -103° F and 500° F. So whether a silicone food grade gasket is used in below freezing temperatures or at extremely high boiling temperatures, it will retain its structural integrity and prevent damage to food material.
Custom Fabrication: Our rubber sheet silicone is available for custom fabrication according to your specific requirements. This is due to the fact that this food grade rubber is expected to be used as a variety of different components. We offer custom gauges of 1-50mm thick and widths of up to 2.7m upon request. The medium durometer rating of food grade silicone means that it can be more easily cut than other rubbers of a higher durometer rating. A flexible material is better suited to being made into specific components such as a food grade gasket or seal.
